Countless many, as we can see in the word of God and in modern history were defeated by the enemy during their prime days of strength and glory. A very good example of this that of Rehoboam, Son of King Solomon. The scripture affirms that when Rehoboam’s position as the King of Israel was firmly established with all the fortified cities he had built and the great numbers of armies at his disposal, he and the rest of the people abandoned the laws and ways of God.
The bottom line was 22 out of 33 thousand chosen warriors on the way to the battle were sent back home because something that ought to have been part of their default, the footing of readiness as the army of God was not there, hence, they were sent home. What could disqualify you and me in this season of preparedness and enrolment for the battle of the Lord?
Today, we ask for your forgiveness, and we confess every wrong action, decision, and connection we have that is contrary to your intention for us; we submit to your leadership and authority. We shut the doors we’ve ignorantly open for the wrong spirit to torment and hinder us from the life of liberty you’ve given to us. We bind our soul to the love of Christ; we yield our thoughts and imagination to the will of Christ.
