This material is our latest work in the effort to bring biblical clarity and amplification to what is often referred to as the Gospel of the kingdom. Many are familiar with the term, the gospel of the kingdom of God, but unfortunately few have not known nor understood what this means.
This material has sought to bring insight into the meaning and purpose of this gospel, also known as the good news of the kingdom of God. I hope this introduction will set the tone for anyone interested in this subject. The nature of the days we’ve been ushered in demands the ecclesia eradicate every form of false definition or assumption regarding issues of the kingdom of God. OVERVIEW
People were also bringing babies to Jesus for him to place his hands on them. When the disciples saw this, they rebuked them. 16 But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 17 Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” Luke 18:15-17
As we can see from the scripture above, entering the realities of the kingdom of God, or do we say, approaching the Gospel of the kingdom begins with an attitude of child-like faith. The starting point here speaks directly to this Gospel’s approach, and I would like the readers of the material to make this approach of a child-like faith the central focus to understanding God’s kingdom dynamics.
The vastness of the mystery of the eternal, unending nature of the kingdom of God begins with a right attitude and not necessarily a doctrine, dogma, or tradition, as many have assumed. I have highlighted this point in buttressing the title of this book. The kingdom of God is dynamic in all aspects. But the foundation of this dynamism begins with an attitude.
Attitude is defined as a consistent behavioral pattern that is almost predictable in actions regardless of the environment. An attitude is a settled way of thinking or feeling about something. In other words, the subject is more of becoming something or behaving in a particular manner than just the acquisition of information or formulas.
Therefore, my approach to this material is not an exhaustive, theological approach but rather an apostolic introductive framework for anyone seeking to approach the primary foundational experience on this subject. Of course, the ideal thing to do should have been to release a complete, all-encompassing resource on this subject.
I, however, felt we are in a time-period where most Christian priority and attention are scattered around various issues that, in most cases, are irrelevant to the genuine pursuit of kingdom treasure. Many spiritual leaders have created a generation of spiritual followers who are merely lusting after the things of God for self-promotion; their quest for spiritual truth is to leverage themselves with a particular religious class.
In a day where the chasing after truth and what many define as ‘revelation’ have become a trendy competitive spirit in the Church, acquiring biblical knowledge, particularly in matters of the message of faith, grace, success, and prosperity, has long become fashionable to gain cheap ‘spiritual’ influence among a nomadic generation of Christians, roaming the wilderness of church entertainment and some emotional ecstasy. Hence, we must probe the yearning and passion of seekers of truth to ensure that they deeply desire God’s things according to the spiritual quest protocol.
Wisdom demands that guardians and stewards of divine things are not seen to be throwing the things of the Spirit wistfully in the name of spiritual blessing or even developing some unprepared individuals to pay the price in receiving eternal kingdom treasures. According to their sacredness in a season like this, learning how to handle the service of spiritual resources faithfully is of utmost importance.
This material’s primary essence is to systematically establish a fundamental, biblically doctrinal [word-experience] principle that can effectively introduce any individual, including a young convert who is genuinely seeking to understand the essential footing of approaching the concept of entering and developing his or her kingdom identity and perspective.
As I have observed for a couple of years, not too many who speak on matters of God’s kingdom genuinely understand the spiritual architecture and philosophy behind this matter. In my study, I’ve also observed that this was the primary problem the disciples of our Lord Jesus faced in their initial walk with the Lord, until towards the end of his earthly ministry before they began to gain a glimmer of insight on what the kingdom and its good news is all about.
No wonder Our Lord Jesus Christ, after His resurrection, committed his time and service for forty days to teaching his disciple on the subject matters of the kingdom of God according to:
Acts 1:3
After his suffering, he presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.
As I have earlier mentioned, this resource’s purpose is to keenly guide you into a preparatory value standard in the approach and protocol to experiencing this Gospel of the kingdom of God, also known as the everlasting Gospel, or the Gospel of God.
There’s only one Gospel preached in the entire word of God, and that Gospel is the good news of the everlasting reign and dominion of Christ over all creation. While the enemy has always tried to confuse, corrupt, and pervert the value of this kingdom gospel, the Lord has continued to preserve this Gospel from one generation to another. The Gospel of the kingdom has been passed down from generation to generation through various means beyond the traditional channels we know.
The devotional life’s testimony of ordinary individuals who decided to follow Christ has been the most effective tool in preserving this kingdom gospel. The challenges the Church has faced down the centuries up until this day have not stopped ordinary men and women from risking their lives in preserving the everlasting testimony of this eternal Gospel. The avalanche of attack from our time’s false culture in trying to cover the light of this kingdom gospel has continued to shine.
