THE ART OF AN INTELLIGENT FAITH
Hebrews 11:1
NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]. Amplify translation.
Intelligence is defined as the ABILITY to acquire and APPLY knowledge and skill. This art of definition is limited not to just an intellectual realm but also every faculty of human organs and organizations that are designed for interaction and productivity. Knowledge is the uncovering of what is concealed or hidden.
Therefore, knowledge is the art of gathering and processing data that allow us to arrive at certain truth or reality that would not naturally be known.
Those in the world of coding or programming have learned the principle of applying specific knowledge acquired to command desired reactions or objectives by combining the gathered information.
Acquiring and applying the knowledge is an influential art that allows us to achieve an ordained objective. The challenge, however, is how and where do we gain this knowledge? How do we ascertain that this knowledge is authentic and can be rightly applied, especially in arriving at God’s intention for us?
17 So too, faith by itself, if it does not result in action, is dead. 18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. 19 You believe that God is one. Good for you! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.… James 2:17-19
Because the nature of the days we live in is one engross in superficiality; A world where laziness has pushed many from the nobility of critical process of thinking to accept others opinions even when they are not correct as the basis of belief is a dangerous one, particularly for so-called Christians today.
To merely glean through the information on the Internet and arrive at a conclusion not established on truth is ungodly precedence we are witnessing today, especially on current increasing medical challenges. Several issues are rising today that require we have a well-informed background knowledge both theoretically and spiritually, so we are genuinely armed with a broadened perspective.
A follower of Christ must build their life’s decisions or choices on the (knowledge) philosophy of Christ and his kingdom values, and this does not excuse critical, informed, intelligent thinking.
Many today claim to be a follower of Christ, but the reality of their faith speak contrary to what they claim. Integrating every aspect of our lives to the confluence of arriving in a well matured corporate kingdom hub is a position Christ is leading his Church in this end of days.
We want to see Christians who are highly spiritual and at the same time great thinkers and innovators that can use their act of spiritual knowledge and faith to build and invent things that allow a solution-driven productive society.
Faith is not some abstract enterprise. Faith has a substance that is highly intelligent and active in the application. Faith carries all the components of intellectual properties that allow the mind to respond correctly to what must be manifest in the human realm.
God gave us the thought to think correctly, so we can make informed decisions and not foolishly be lured by swaying trends of beliefs and tradition. Building our faith on the solid foundation of informed truth, established on a faith that is assured on the mind and will of God for each occasion, is where we desire to operate from.
Many of the events unfolding at this end of days demands we adjust our perspective and philosophy of faith that must be driven on a sound, apostolic doctrinal footing and framework. Faith is not the act of foolishness; it’s the way of the believers life established on foundation of interacting with God’s word on a consistent basis. By faith we understand that the world was created. This act of creation, bringing somethings out of nothing is nature of the life of a true son of God. This is day our faith must be intelligently anchored on the everlasting word of God and not on some figment of human imagination.
The faith to be healed or build society is a collective reality of a well-matured knowledge of the will and intention of the Father for our lives. Yet, good intention without the appropriate timing of response would lead to frustration. There are measuring pointers of our faith standard within our spirits. If we, however, don’t have the knowledge of this reality, we won’t know how to respond to the right timing of response.
When our faith has not reached the point where it is given the voice to speak, then, we have to continue to allow such faith to grow in the right spiritual atmosphere. Responding to the complex issues of life without a sound position of a culture of a matured faith and wisdom is putting yourself and the people around you in a difficult situation.
When you study this scripture, you we the values that allows your faith to respond in a manner that produces the right result. And if you don’t have such level of faith to respond to the message of healing should not be seen as a negative place to be. We are all growing towards that place of the corporate reality of the Saints, and this we shall all attain when we respond to the kind of kingdom gospel that allows us to mature into Christ in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.
8 While they were at Lystra, Paul and Barnabas came upon a man with crippled feet. He had been that way from birth, so he had never walked. He was sitting 9 and listening as Paul preached. Looking straight at him, Paul realized he had faith to be healed. 10 So Paul called to him in a loud voice, “Stand up!” And the man jumped to his feet and started walking.
