THE TEMPERAMENT OF LEADERSHIP. SHIFT AWAY FROM HYPOCRITICAL LEADERSHIP.

MATTHEWS 16:1-4

AND THE PHARISEES AND SADDUCEES HAVING APPROACHED TESTING HIM, ASKED HIM TO SHOW THEM A SIGN OUT OF HEAVEN. 2 AND ANSWERING HE SAID TO THEM, “EVENING HAVING COME, YOU SAY, ‘FAIR WEATHER, FOR THE SKY IS RED,’ 3 AND IN THE MORNING, ‘TODAY A STORM, FOR THE SKY IS RED, BEING OVERCAST.’

INDEED YOU KNOW HOW TO DISCERN THE APPEARANCE OF THE SKY, BUT THE SIGNS OF THE TIMES AND YOU ARE NOT ABLE! 4 AN EVIL AND ADULTEROUS GENERATION SEEKS A SIGN, BUT NO SIGN WILL BE GIVEN TO IT EXCEPT THE SIGN OF JONAH.” AND HAVING LEFT THEM, HE WENT AWAY.

Many leaders are unsuccessful not because they lack ability, but because they often use the wrong leadership style in the execution of their assignment.

The assignment of a leader is like the four seasons, in that they both come with various, unique temperatures we cannot control. Each leader must know how to correctly adjust to the frizzing, storming, or scorching heat temperature outside [the vision’s assignment] to fit into the appropriate temperature to keep the body healthy, functional, and productive.

The truth is, even for people in leadership positions, the need to continuously learn and adapt to remain relevant in the apostolic mandate of the Church is critical, particularly in this high-level prophetic activated season.

Our leadership craft or skill must be prophetically applied in the relevance of the shift in times and seasons, or else, one will impress and even apply the inappropriate emphasis of thinking and temperament for an assignment, which will be interpreted and judged as negative by those called along in fulfillment of such assignment.

Carrying people along in the Spirit of what the Lord demands is one thing, showing them the correct construct of heart the Lord uses to formulate grace and wisdom that create the right spiritual atmosphere which allows the vision to thrive, is even more critical.

The reality is, leaders within the Body of Christ must appreciate that we are not just called to communicate in words alone; we communicate via the Spirit and through the Spirit.

As I grow in the ways of the truth in knowledge and in the various patterns and values in carrying out my ministry function as a sent one, it becomes clearer that it is not enough for leaders to be fixative in getting the mandate fulfilled.

The HOW we execute leadership must continuously speak to the emphasis of the Spirit of the Lord, for the season. This is critical in maintaining that not only the vision, but also the behavioral character required to regulate the atmosphere of your community or organization, so that everyone is carried along and plays their role effectively and productively.

A true visionary leader must regularly adjust to the correct temperament, while the value of the vision remains untouched.
