No one lights a lamp and covers it with a jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, he sets it on a stand, so those who enter can see the light. Luke 8:16

The Lord not only wants us to have a deep, passionate devotional lifestyle of worship of Him, but also wants us to express an exuberant, unashamed, mountain-top, proclamation of the gospel of His kingdom for the world to hear and know, which starts with your immediate environment.

If we only have a passionate personal devotional life, and don’t have a public face that proclaims and declares the gospel with authority, power, and dominion over human wisdom and power, then our understanding of the gospel and our redemption is misguided and incomplete.

The life of a follower of Christ is both a private devotional and a public expression of his or her faith. Christ followers should live their lives in such a way that their private devotion to Christ is evident through their public actions and interactions with others.

If we lack the time or courage to have a conversation with others about Christ in a public place like a coffee shop, it may be an indication that we do not have an authentic, Christ focus private devotional lifestyle of worship.
