Part 5

The foundation of all knowledge

We cannot venture into the knowledge of things, whether they be things in the heavens of heaven or things beneath the earth or within the innermost being of man without first having the knowledge of the Holy One. This basic point I am flagging is essentially crucial to the issues we are going to further consider, and I desire us to reexamine the foundation that ought to give us that proper orientation in both engaging and interpreting the mind of the Lord with regards to the knowledge and culture of his kingdom.

As a student of the scripture, I have discovered that even those who have been given to the body to teach and instruct us on basic principles, values and precepts of the word of God to some degree, share a bit of misconception, prejudices, and misrepresentation for various obvious reasons.

And therefore, I believe that reexamining the core footing that defines our theological prism of ideology inconsistent to biblical truth is highly necessary in order to have a correct, solid, holistic, unbiased spiritual footing as we press into the reality of what constitutes a precise, standardized knowledge of accessing the kingdom of God.

 The true purpose of salvation

Firstly, the very spiritual footing that both carries and form the shape of the foundation of what is intended to be built as a spiritual edifies plays one of the most important roles in the journey of life. The outpouring substance of what is intended to be shaped as a template of our inner, cast spiritual structure must first align with the revelatory design of the heavenly temple pattern.

However, this is a huge challenge since not everyone had the right spiritual discipleship program to access the knowledge of the Spirit through a precise, standardized, revelatory knowledge of Christ and the kingdom.  One may quickly argue that isn’t that one of the reasons why salvation, through being born again was given?

Yes, that is one of the reasons, but we can equally also agree that not everyone duly understands, or have come to agree that the core purpose of salvation is not just to make it to heaven but to mature us in all knowledge and dealings of life.

True, biblical, precise teaching on salvation ought to teach us how to bring heaven down into our present domain, in a manner that affords us the grace to reflect the glorious beauty and grace of the kingdom of God to creation and humanity through our reborn and regenerated spirit-man. Salvation and redemption were given to create an equalized position for everyone to perfectly access the doorway into the revelation of Christ and his kingdom for all.

Hence, redemption becomes the schoolmaster that prepares us for the position of the sonship nature of the second man, the last Adam, who has become the pattern and template of how we see, receive and function in the ministry we’ve all been assigned.  This further background knowledge gives us insight into what we are examining as we are being called to ascend to another reality in the climbing unto the mountain of the Lord.

Understanding the ministry of suffering

The further we move into the day of the lord, the more resolute and determine we must become in embracing the virtue of suffering and the challenges presented to us in the spirit of joy and the fruit of the spirit as a necessary divine requirement in the preparation to be better equipped for the service of the ministry of Christ and his kingdom.

2 Corinthians 4:17

16Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

The word suffering among most Christians today has been tagged with a negative unacceptable experience. Yet, when we consider scripture carefully we see how the lord use the ministry of suffering to refine and perfect his vessels of honor.

Suffering is not just about the lack of food, good clothing, money, nice house, the lack of education, job and so on. There’s [tribulation] suffering the lord has ordained and called his own into in an order to get the best of himself out of them.

The fact that Christians across the globe live in different political and socioeconomic realities, and to a large degree, those realities affect and shape their spiritual orientation and outlook of their faith. In order words, what some others consider as the norm in their part of the world may turn out to be persecution in another region or context.

Environment and perspective

By default, the environment we grew up plays a huge role in the shaping and the construction and formation of our lives orientation and general outlook. Here’s a good example, a believer who grew within a war zone environment, and a Christian who developed within an environment of peace, financial security and wealth will certainly not have the same faith perspective, insight to correct life’s value, and the preferred, operational value template and the opportunity to annex resources for productivity.

While this may not be categorized as a general principle, the fact remains that the realities of these two groups are a world apart, and that does impact on their life’s view and spiritual prism.

Another example I have personally noticed in the last 15 years or so of my stay in South Africa, having the opportunity to pioneer a fellowship, preach and teach in various churches within the provinces, I can confidently say that I’ve noticed a significant difference in the response system of the people to the gospel message.

Furthermore, there’s a unique character attitude many Christians display as they interact, perceive and even react to both the message and the messenger of the gospel from place to place. This concept I am relating to carries both a positive and a negative viewpoint that may not necessarily be seen or noticed on a face value relationship except the Lord opens one’s eyes to see it.

When you gather ministers of the gospel together in one place and give the task of preaching from the same text scripture, you are certainly going to get varieties of insight and interpretations, and that is true. However accurate is their revelation, you can rest assured that forty percent of what they might have said or taught are shaped directly or indirectly from the environment that shaped their perspective and life orientation.

This is a fact that cannot be denied. We are all products of our environment, either good or bad, and that’s the reason the Lord uses what is called a standardized knowledge of the spiritual [principle] truth to refine, balance or equalize our spiritual orientation so we don’t only reflect the experience of the environment that has shaped us, but rather see life and its various complex dealing through the eyes of Gods eternal design for us.

This simple, but, profound truth helps us to precisely interpret the whole concept of our lives, either from a positive or negative experience through the prism of the kingdom of God. Regardless of where we came from and the color of our skin or gender, our spiritual lens view changes to the father’s eternal designed blueprint for. Whether we are born with royal blood, or we are from an African linage of the slave trade, it really does not matter again, as our stature and identity in the kingdom of God bring us all back to that point of our true original state in the father, the state of sonship.

Unfortunately, not many understand this concept of life within the Christian faith, and therefore, the Lord often use certain parallel kingdom value principles like tribulation, or even temporal lack to awaken the spiritual faculty of his own chosen people, and to also to help them create that sense of spiritual understanding in measuring up to that spiritual standard in accessing the portal of humility and the rest of the fruit of the spirit that truly enriches their soul.

We are told that we can only enter the kingdom through much suffering. This suffering is the glorious pathway into the life and virtue of kingdom culture. Whatever way or condition we’ve been naturally born, or whatever place or location we maybe current located, if we’ve not been through the access point of suffering, the experience of our spiritual orientation will certainly not be completed or lopsided. Therefore, it will be highly challenging for you or me to relate and understand the key spiritual building components for the kingdom life and its representation.

There’s a single binding principle that allows every member of the church of Christ to see and interact with each other according to the stipulation of the ministry of the tree of life. Before we can truly and effectively access the glorious life of the kingdom, the valley conditions of our lives must be filled up, the mountains must be made plain, and the uneven roads must be straightened out. These are dimensions of ideological beliefs and standards we’ve inherited that must be given up to the new life and culture of the kingdom we are entering.

Everyone whose desire to ascend into the reality of true kingdom lifestyle must come through this doorway of tribulation. The wealthiest people within the body of Christ have their own seasons of suffering. My point is, this is not about the lack of money. Spiritual suffering is not poverty and poverty is not spiritual suffering.

A believer can amass all the wealth of this world but he or she is completely poor unto the true riches of the kingdom. There’s a poverty every believer must experience, regardless of how rich they may be, they must constantly seek this dealing of the spirit from the father to keep and maintain the sense of spiritual wealth in their journey towards the tree of life.

THE PURPOSE OF TRIBULATION, AND THE STANDARDIZED KNOWLEDGE OF ACCESSING THE KINGDOM OF GOD. PART 2

The purpose of tribulation and the standardized knowledge of accessing the kingdom of God

A preparatory footing for the

manifestation of the third-day ecclesia.

PART TWO

The ministry of the third day

The ministry of the third day is the platform that introduces and ushers the body of Christ into the prophetic scope of both experiencing and manifesting the unfolding realities of the dawning of the kingdom age, which ultimately demands perfected lifestyle character and governmental capability from all of us. The current activity on earth today is being driven by powerful forces that have an in-depth understanding of both the protocol and governing system of the kingdom.

It is becoming clearer that there are only two main agendas defining the present activity of men across the globe even though we’ve always known this. Whatever secret idea or intention of men’s activity in the past maybe, it is now obviously clear that the present events of humans at all spheres are being streamlined to the battlefield of two kingdoms.

From global economic transactions to geopolitical negotiations, to the policies that define our children’s healthcare, education, marriages, and family values, are all now being redesigned and streamlined to serve either of these two agendas; that of the kingdom of darkness, or that of the kingdom of light. Kingdoms, either of darkness or light, operates through powerful principles, systems, values standard, and preferred model of lifestyle that seeks to advance their desired objectives.

The implication of this is, if the church does not swiftly shift from its current weak, operational base, and begin to fully function on a higher premise of God’s kingdom administrative culture, she will certainly remain irrelevant in the current apostolic emerging reality of the kingdom of God.

The wrong footing and emphasis built by church tradition and denominationalism for decades have made it extremely challenging for many to either comprehend the desired blueprint of what is known as the kingdom life or accept what it entails to process its experience it in its true essence.

Changing perspective to tribulation

It is my desire to, therefore, use the few outlined principles and model values shared in this resource material to further demonstrate how the lord, in most cases, uses various mains, but in particular, the ministry of tribulation or suffering to both define, refine, and leverage the understanding of the corporate church in bringing an in-depth prophetic perspective in showing us how we should view and experience tribulation, even as the cultural lifestyle of the kingdom is being formed within us.

I know that as you come across the term suffering, many are already quick to judge or dismiss the rest information yet to be read. I would, however, encourage you to please continue reading so you have a holistic paradigm of what the Spirit is communicating through this passage. There are realms of truth from the eternality of the Spirit that are currently open and restore to the Body of Christ in order to clearly make sense of the present demand of the Spirit, and deal with the growing, complex challenges of the present darkness.

Either we accept or reject the notion of suffering as a divine tool for perfection, it is a deep experiential reality, many of us can speak of extensively. Yet, our perspective of suffering like mine in the past, are usually not in coherence to sound biblical knowledge. Many see and react to their challenges from a defeated, victim mentality even as believers. Yet, we are already told in the word of God that tribulation will come for the word sake. This simply means that if you are a Christian, and you love the word and practice what it says, you will be persecuted. This is one truth many would have so wished is not in the word of God.

The word of God must be seen and understood through a correct, biblical perspective, regardless of how it sounds or seem to us. There are some who today believe that God is not that cruel to allow them to go through certain difficulty. The presumed knowledge or idea we brought into our salvation experience with due correction has done a lot of damage to developing the right spiritual template.

Eighty-five percent of the entire scripture speaks and deals with the issue of suffering or tribulation as it is called in some cases. Yet, ninety percent of today’s Christians don’t feel comfortable talking about the idea of suffering as a legitimate message of the new testament church.  It is highly critical we have a clear, well defined, balanced biblical perspective with regards to any issue or subject or else we will be making the mistake of presuming the mind of the Lord in terms of his desire and expectation for us.

We want to explore the word of God and the Spirit of truth in order to have a broad base revelatory insight of the demand of the Lord for us, even from the very footing of our first approach to salvation up until the present orientation we have with regards to approaching this next phase of kingdom demand and engagement.  We shall later consider what the Lord has in mind when he allows us to be purified through the furnace of life. For now, let’s deal with some powerful, basic spiritual footing that needs adjustment as we get ready to move on with the lord to the next frontier of the father’s objective.

Readjusting foundational philosophy

In whatever manner, we’ve come to know, accept, or even identify with what we generally term as salvation is not really the issue, but as we make our way into the core reality of what is known as the kingdom life, we are certainly demanded to have the same quality spiritual base, or experience in order to both access and precisely comprehend the nature and cultural life of the kingdom.

Being born of the water and of the spirit is both experiential and symbolic in the sense that they open the pathway which initiates us into a lifetime journey of interacting and understanding the things that emanate from heaven’s domain.

Not even our Lord will be allowed into his assigned earthly ministry without the experience of baptism. His Baptism in Jordan opens up heaven for a release of divine knowledge and approval into realms and dimension that grants and allows him to bring creation back into the culture of spiritual redemption.

Defining standardization

Dictionary definition of standardization defines it as the practice of the process of implementing and developing technical standards. Standardization can help to maximize compatibility, interoperability, safety, repeatability, or quality. It can also facilitate the commoditization of formerly custom processes.

While some of these words may sound technical to some of us, they, however, help us to have a clearer definition and insightful understanding of the concept of integrated kingdom economy. The power of the shared kingdom culture only kicks into effect when there are a clear knowledge and insight of the driving system of the common faith and value we have in Christ. Kingdom culture is the parallel structure of thinking and existence within the community of Saints. Any other thought pattern, regardless of how ancient or contemporary are subservient to the identity and nature of the new creation reality.

There’s only one doorway

Everyone entering the kingdom of God cannot enter through his or her own personal experience or standard without following the due process and value standard. There’s only one doorway into the glorious life of the kingdom, and as I have explained that access point is the revelation of Christ. The revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is also known as the Ministry of sonship is the universal platform and language by entering and interacting with the reality and demands of the kingdom.

As we know, not everyone has experienced this sound biblical knowledge of Christ due to various reasons. Thus, the Lord uses certain challenges if you will bring his church to a standardized measure that allows everyone to pass through the same doorframe of understanding in experiencing and appreciating the cultural life of the kingdom of God.

We all are granted the same access to the things of the father. But not all of us share the same access point. Our access points are defined by the unique construct of our spiritual orientation and exposure. Why? Well, just as the way we are introduced to life generally differs, the same principle applies to the way and manner we are introduced to the life of God and the things of the spirit.

Therefore, the manner we’ve been programmed to see, relate and respond to life and its activity both from the natural or spiritual point certainly will differ from each other, and the reason for this can be immediately traced to the value structure of our spiritual foundation and its orientation.

The role of a spiritual environment

The environment of our spiritual development plays a key role in shaping our belief system, operational values, and life expectations. As a natural environment, can enhance or deter the success and productivity of life so is it with a spiritual environment. Who you are today has been greatly influenced by the climatic environment you were born into. As the natural environment continues to affect who we are, so does the spiritual environment.

As individuals, families, and communities can be hindered from accessing certain breakthrough spiritual realities, so equally can an entire city, region or nation can be blocked or blind from accessing the speakings and frequency of the father for a given season due to their spiritual ignorance or location in accessing the speaking of heaven.

Engaging with entities and forces that represent the inflow or outflow of spiritual activity within a city or region is one of the core mandates of a true prophet. The inflow of knowledge and wisdom as spiritual tools for the building of the intention of the father first requires men and women who are living upon the mountain of the lord over their regions of location.

In my study and observation, I discovered how our Lord engaged with people and entities as he approaches specific regions and locations. In most instances, what takes place within a sphere is not really the issue, but those seated at the gate of representation. This concept of engaging people’s spirit based on their territorial location is an arm of the governmental grace that we need to revisit if we are going to effectively shift regions into a new spiritual environment that will equally empower them to achieve what has been predestined for them.

As natural climate places a huge role in the kind of fruits, crops and vegetables planted and harvested in a geographical region, so it relates to the reality of the spiritual climate. As one moves from place to place, one began to realize how certain people are easily open to the things of the kingdom while on the other side of the divide is a completely different story of rejection and sometimes persecution of those bearing the message of the kingdom of God.

When the truth, we preach or teach is hugely influenced by the reality of our immediate environment, it hinders and limit us from developing a broader governmental prophetic perspective to embrace the greater theme of the message of the kingdom.

The message of the kingdom is the yardstick standard and melting point of all spiritual orientation and standard. In other words, if our concept of discipleship training is centered around what our Lord Jesus Christ calls the gospel of the kingdom or the everlasting gospel as proclaimed in the book of revelation, we will certainly be at the center core of spiritual truth and its present emphasis.

This is a huge subject that I will love to expand on as we step into the next phase of divine engagement. However, I want to zero on a different side that should give us a bit of opening into this message. One out of several things that differentiate a person’s spiritual experience from another is the weight of the cross they bear, and the scar of suffering acquired on their journey to the mountain of the lord.

Both the value standard and perspective of life within the culture of the kingdom is completely different to that of the one raised within a Christian circle taught only to see life from two prisms, the positive and the negative. The footing of our spiritual orientation is merely designed to cause us to react negatively to what may seem negative and of course, positive to what or a person who sounds positive around us. We may never learn to develop and embrace the right capacity the Lord has planned for our spiritual construction and value system. Seeing life through the eyes of the lord is not an easy thing to do, especially when our faith has been orientated to see and respond from a certain religious or limited perspective.

REVELATION, PERCEPTION AND ITS INTERPRETATION Conclusion

revelationperception-and-intepretation

By Isaiah-Phillips Akintola

PERSONAL VIEW AND REVELATION

Many, in their zeal and excitement of describing what they’ve perceived or felt in their spiritual journey will usually accept such knowledge or experience to be the literal, general acceptable yardstick standard of spiritual accuracy and development. To the degree that they, in most cases, fall into the trap of measuring, viewing and even interpreting others spiritual life through their one-sided, piggy hole, personal revelatory position unfortunately.

The fact is, some of us, in our personal walk with the lord may have reached certain spiritual zenith or experience if you will, that may even suggest we have embodied some of the greatest depths of prophetic revelatory knowledge, and that is fine. However, we need to constantly remind ourselves at all occasions to put into context and perspective the kind of audience we are relating to. Meaning that the more we can discern the spiritual level and standard of the individual or community, we are interacting with helps us understanding what to share, and how best to convey the revelation we want to share.

Declaring what you believe has been given to you doesn’t mean you’re wrong, particularly in an era of fast social media platforms. And it should not also be assumed that those who may refuse your persuasion and position of revelation at the ‘moment’ are wrong too.  We certainly all don’t wake up at the same time.

The sun rises earlier in some time zone than other places. This is true with the issue of spiritual development and maturity. This fact doesn’t stop us from sharing with others, the deep things of the Spirit. In fact, our desire is to leave behind the elementary realities of the gospel and migrate further into the ascended realm of transformation in Christ. My point is, while we may pursue the advance dimension of kingdom life, we should never impose that position we have just discovered with others.

SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT AND REVELATION.

While our journey towards the zenith of the revelation of Christ, the full status of all truth carries a universal sound of awakening and development. However, the transitional momentum and experience towards such confluence of sound is usually a unique, personal dealings of knowledge and experience that must be respected and appreciated by all. While others may get stirred, motivated and encouraged through what is preached and taught, how they process the information, and relate to the lord in terms of their exposure to the truth they’ve received will ultimately determine their spiritual growth, capacity maturity onto that next level in transition.

Revelation is one of the most beautiful and most important aspects of the dynamism of spiritual growth and transition. The elevated knowledge received through the opening of the mystery of revelation comes with the tendency, if care is not taken, to develop a sense of superiority complex.  The word of God says, Knowledge puffs up, including spiritual knowledge.

This is a highly sensitive and conscious place to be as we move to seek to know and build the designed mind of the father for our day. The desire to want to know things, more so, if they are things that must do with the future, is a quest more Christian and non-Christian alike tenaciously longs for.

The fact is, the quest to seek the unknown is what the enemy used in the first place in the garden to seduced Eve to disobey the instruction of the father. That same desire is what the evil one is using to lure many to seek all forms of false portals to gain access into what is unclear to them. Having access today into that which intended for tomorrow gives humans, some sense of security, and that answers the many reasons why millions today have fallen prey to the spirit of false prophetic ministry.

As believers and followers of the lamb, it is critical that we understand that revelation, regardless of it’s grand influence, is should never be assumed as the yardstick of measuring spiritual development or maturity. Revelation is a key that grants access to that which is hidden to the natural faculty. While revelation allows, us access into divine things, the condition and posture of our spirit-man, however will determine what we do with such revelatory information.

The act of revelation Itself does not determine nor alter the shape of affairs; it is how we understand and precisely execute the revelatory knowledge that produces impact and the desired transformation. Indeed, revelational [truth] knowledge can greatly enhance our process of development in making the necessary adjustments through the divine knowledge accessed, as we apply wisdom and understanding to the decisions we are taking. The part you’ve been shown or given in terms of revelational insight was designed to shift your understanding with regards to the demand of the lord for your growth.

Furthermore, the ministry of revelation, which is one of the core arm of the prophetic ministry, is designed as a schoolmaster, assigned to prep the saints on the oracles of biblical spiritual growth and development into the perfect day in Christ. So, when we make statements relating to our spiritual (status) state of knowledge, understanding or experience, regardless of how genuine our expression, we must vigorously seek to effectively communicate such position of truth in a humble, balanced, persuasive, intelligent manner.

Our communication of divine matters, including the ministry of revelation and restored truth should always cause our students, audience or listeners to seek to what to learn by appreciating what we are saying in the spirit of grace and humility. This implies that when people hear or read our stuffs, while they admire us, we should never create an impression or atmosphere that suggests we are better and indispensable to the people. While people can enjoy the freedom to respect, honor and even serve the grace of the Lord in our lives due to sacrificial lifestyle they can see in us.

They should, however never be encouraged to think they cannot be more proficient than us in their pursuit of revelation in fulfilling their own given assignment. If our materials or message of faith directly or indirectly shifts the heart of the people to start looking at us as some super spiritual being, we have certainly set ourselves up to fail.

While people seek to honor and appreciate us, and in fact, they should do that as often as they are led by the lord. We must, however never suggest the idea of spiritual superiority in our communication and representation of divine things. There’s a need to always try to (display) show how the Lord brought us to that point of spiritual (experience) persuasion and understanding of spiritual things, for this is the chief purpose of the mission of a teacher.

Everything our lord did was reveal to his disciple after the crowd had left. The matters he felt they were not ready for was kept to be revealed through the ministry of the Holy Spirit after his ascension. Our spiritual expression should not be understood as if we are communicating revelatory knowledge with sublime arrogance and pride. We must seek to bring the people up to the next level of the father’s plan for the people and not where we think they should be in our own measure standard of life.

It’s so easy to presume where the people should be because we measure ourselves by other’s standards. Constantly remember that there are three levels of believers and positions in our Christian Faith, and in in fact, all we know and express in our ministry of truth and revelation are also benchmarked by these three levels according to the word of God.

I am referring to what Christ called the thirty-fold position, the sixtyfold and of course, the hundredfold dimension which relates to the fullness or completeness of all things in Christ. All that was created in the development of the body of Christ are designed in parts. Your assumed fullness or completeness is only a part of a greater dimension within the body that must fit into its rightful place for the church to perfectly function towards that point of maximum creativity and productivity kingdom community.  It is naive for a community like the Corinthians church to be engaging in ideas of the second coming of Christ amongst themselves while they are just beginning the process of developing and integration as a community being commissioned to interpret the prophetic purposes of the lord for their region and time.

AND THE WORD BECAME FLESH

Those called to be leaders and role model in the current advanced emergence of kingdom order, must develop beyond the mere preaching and celebration of the revelation to its intended, precise position of strategic implementation. It is biblically clear that revelation is for personal development and corporate edification. Yet, the implementation of such given (truth) revelation becomes highly relevant when it can make contact and impact through the domain of its carrier to the society.

A revelation that does not produce the creative life force of growth, reform and transformation within and outside our immediate environment needs to be reconsidered of its source and authenticity.  Heaven centered revelation as seen through scripture must make contact and impact with the earth in a way that attracts the attention of the people of the world to a new standard and position of kingdom lifestyle.  Our lord Jesus Christ as we know, was, and he’s still is, the embodiment of all spiritual insight and revelatory knowledge. He is the Revelator and the revelation. Still, his life and message was felt in the corridors of political and economic powers of his days.

The entire Roman Empire system knew him. They recognized his authenticity and influence without raising an army or sword to fight. If truly, the revelation given to you has become flesh, it will progressively and naturally transform your world and environment without effort. It’s amazing how today’s church loves running with powerful kingdom truths that are yet to develop and transform us internally.

We revel in sharing what we’ve seen, and that’s good, but not good enough if we are going to represent the affairs of the kingdom. It must be that which we have seen, touched and our hands have handled having been with him on the mount. That is a true reflection of the force of an ascended life. The word became flesh and dwelt among men, and we beheld his glory…

After the encounter of the revelation at the upper room, there was an immediate contact with the religious system of the day that attract the attention of Roman Empire leadership. Authentic spiritual insight or revelation must be transformed into a viable, creative nonresistance force that attracts the nations into the field of the lord’s harvest. The big question is, are the nations beholding the glory of what we are today declaring as a revelation today? Something to think about.

THE CORINTHIAN CHURCH, A GOOD EXAMPLE

As insightful and matured the Corinthians church seem in chapter 1 of Corinthians, one would expect this church to also be a community of peaceful, united, corporate community, pursuing the grace and life of their corporate assignment in the spirit of matured understanding. Unfortunately, it’s not so, as you begin to read chapters two and three further, you start to see the childishness and immaturity of this community.

Suddenly you get the sense of how far they are from what was depicted in chapter one as well spiritually developed community. I use to know folks back in my teenage days as a zealous Christian in separate search for anointing and revelation. In those days, there was a sense of deep respect and admiration for anyone who seem to have in depth knowledge and insight into the word of God.

Young fellow will spend there to school fees or their incomes to buy Christian literatures. Others, like me, who seem to have a partial understanding of a calling will go for concordance, commentaries and theological materials just to polish my spiritual insight, and I can tell you that it was enjoyable. Nevertheless, the purpose of this seemingly wonderful spiritual request was to prove a point to others that you’re the best. Thus, while people listen and applauded what was coming out of my mouth, my heart was taking the glory. The exercise was never truly designed to bring glory to the lord. It was all about competition. This is the same thing I see today amongst many leaders. While they are articulating the right things in terms of what is expected, their hearts, however are seeking to take the glory.

When need to understand that the mouth can say all the right things while our hearts does not truly engage in the spirit of truth to want to see constructive change. A word that is yet to affect us cannot transform the listeners regardless of how finely fitted our lingual expression. Revelation is not simply about the use of words to communicate something we believe has been given or shown to us. Truly revelation is called to see and experience that which is behind the veil of human understanding to adjust our lives to fit that heavenly pattern.

Therefore, seeking to understand what we’ve seen is a critical component of being custodians of the ministry of revelation. Making ambiguous statement, more so in our spiritual stands only without a standardized balance of a guiding doctrine, complicates the primary objective of the purpose of communicating our faith and hope which is to ultimately bring edification.  If we effectively communicate our spiritual position with the purpose to educate, reform and transform, we will eventually edify and build up the body into fullness in all things in as we convey revelation guided by the character quality of the fruits of our regenerate spirit.

REVELATION, PERCEPTION AND ITS INTERPRETATION

img_2989

INTRODUCTION

The most elementary, basic definition of the word revelation means to reveal or to unveil. Elohim, from the dawn of time has made the ministry of revelation his primary assignment. Creation itself is the very revelation of the father’s creative character nature.

Due to the deepest, hidden character nature of the father’s existence, he chose to create, formulate and express his own very nature through the creation of the first man in Eden. When he said let us make man in our own image and likeness, that was one of the most powerful and amazing declarations in the word of God that proves the ever-willingness of the father to both show and express his unveiling nature and creative wisdom.

It is obvious that Eden was not the genesis of all the creation of the Godhead. Eden however was the beginning of the introduction of another dimension of his character essence through the introduction of man. That which once lived solely in one dimension of eternity can now be seen or even accessed through the creation of man.  The conception of man in the garden of Eden was the beginning of the revelation of another dimension of the glorious, majestic, powerful nature of the father’s sovereignty over all things.

Man, was, and is still is the mystery that conceals and unveil some of the deepest secrets of the nature of the Godhead, and it’s for this reason it is said that eternality is (hidden) placed within man. Deep within the spirit of the regenerated man lies one of the most powerful spiritual realities and characteristics of the very essence of God, the creator of all things. Everything about man speaks and breath the very life of his creator. Man, is the seed of God, manifested in fruit of the character essence of his creator. The more man learns his place and substance in his creator, the more he can discover and recover from his fallen position from grace.

MY FOCUS

My focus, however, through this short note is not on the nature or purpose of revelation, but on how it is perceived, interpreted and misused in the vast community of saints across the globe today.

My intention is to therefore distinguish between the various understandings that guide and lead us to assume and prematurely conclude on the issue of personal revelation, which is today causing a major problem within the corporate community life of the church.

DEFINING REVELATION

Revelation, by nature, deals with issues and events that are both within the confines of time and outside of time. Revelation is designed to bridge two realms and worlds within the life of a redeemed person. Revelation is a sneak-view into the magnificent mystery of the life of Christ that is a living, embodied testament of an unfolding event that is already fulfilled within the characteristic life of the ministry of Christ in eternity.

The ministry of the (that which is revealed) mystery of Christ is the most eminent of all courses of knowledge and uncovering. There can’t be nothing higher or greater of either spiritual, academic or scientific than to possess a pure revelatory knowledge of the ascended Christ in his full glory. Nevertheless, this eternally fulfilled life in Christ must first become a working process of redemption and devotion in time for the union of what is already fulfilled to be completed in us.

Revelation is a continual process of an unveiling finished prophetic destiny of humanity and creation, carried out by a remnant generation, worthy to be chosen to participate in the birth and the fulfillment of the mysteries of the father, as seen through the exemplary life of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the son of Mary and Joseph.

COMPREHENSION AND REVELATION

Our understanding and interpretation of revelation must precede beyond the confinement of what may have been suggested to us by various school of thought and opinions, or better still, by what may appear to be the obvious interpretation of the answer needed within our own limited definition and understanding of knowledge, and I am referring to spiritual knowledge.

Since the comprehension of revelation or other forms of spiritual reality is an integral part of spiritual development, then it is assumed that anyone given access into divine reality will vigorously seek the deepest and most precise meaning and interpretation of what has been shown. This was clearly seen through the engagement of most of the prophets in the word of God. A good example is Zachariah, Daniel and John the beloved on the island of Patmos.

The upgrade of our Insight and perception into the character nature of sound, biblical spiritual foundation must then give us the precise footing and framework in both approaching and growing to comprehend with the objective for accurate interpretation of the given revelation. This, of course, must be done within the context of both the scripture and what has been communicated to us through the vehicle of revelation. How well informed in the matters of sound and balanced biblical doctrine and the maturing of the spiritual template of the recipient spirit-man, in relation to the character quality of the Spirit described in the book of Isaiah chapter 11:2 will ultimately determine the degree or intensity of the accuracy of his or her interpretation.

A PERSONAL VIEW OF REVELATION

It’s so easy to describe and even paint the image of a view seen from a (elevated) point or dimension without the necessary awareness of higher heights of the same mountain. There’s no doubt that this same view reality defines how most Christians experience and apply their dimensionality (revelatory) insight of a truth received as the yardstick standard in measuring their own growth or worst still, the spiritual level or position of others.  Cast your mind back to the amount of time you’ve been in some sort of argument or quarrel with another believer based on the issue of revelation, or better still, what you believed is the truth that should be emphases. I can confidently state that the major battle taking place today within the body of Christ is that of revelatory acceptance and practice.

We struggle and push each other to accept our own side of the story without considering maybe there’s a greater depth to what we’ve received.  We long for people to understand and believe what we are so certain the lord showed and gave to us on the mountain. Many of us have made enemies of our own brothers just for the fact that they cannot understand or receive what we believe to be our momentary truth.  The war over truth is now one of the fiercest battles of all times. Some today, who have taken the position of determining what is truth or not, seems to be lacking in some of the basic character qualities of the fruit of righteousness needed as the template that formulate the nature of the truth they claimed to be representing.

In other words, we can claim to have what may be termed as revelation, but yet, not necessarily displaying the necessary transforming lifestyle of the ministry of kingdom truth that judges and holds the basis of our revelation.

REVELATION WITHOUT FRUIT

Some of the company of what may be recognized as the prophetic apostolic reformation is becoming more of a spiritual elite club that only allows a particular kind of individuals who exclusively believe and accept the doctrine and dogma of such groups. I sometimes wonder what would have become of my own fate and that of millions, if the father had left the benchmark of spiritual growth and attainment to the hand of few ‘spiritual elites’.

Spiritual elitism has become a major challenge among many today, who claim to be seeing and representing the new spiritual shift and standard within the apostolic reformation company. There’s absolutely no question that we are during one of the glorious days of the lord, since the advent of the ecclesia over 2000 years ago.  Seasons of refreshing have been witnessed across the globe. Still, a far more glorious day of the lord is now upon us that requires corporate development and mutual understanding of the ministry of ascending truth.

The church has witnessed some major growth and development since its inception, and we are near to witness again a more powerful movement of the redemptive prophetic program of the father across the world, and all this will take place because someone hungry enough of the things of the Spirit will be given access into a dimension that can shift and impact realities in the natural realm.

When we tap into dimensions that allows us to see what heaven desire to birth and model in the world as a true reflection of the father’s purpose and will, his kingdom becomes even more and more visible in the earth. The increase and flow of the ministry of revelation, particularly that which holds a rich sense of prophetic initiatives and engagement, usually comes with a touch of excitement, mostly where there’s little or no sense of balanced knowledge and wisdom to absorb.

MISINTERPRETATION AND REVELATION

More so if the received revelation is immediately associated with prioritizing training, skill, preparation and of course, maturity for precise representation. This wonderful sense of preparation and readiness are in most cases, misjudged due to a misinterpretation of the time or season of the fulfillment of the received revelation, which usually leads to a fictitious sense of expectation.

When revelation is mixed with a sense of preparation, steadiness, consistency in the lifestyle of truth appropriation, this development will eventually bring to bear the ministry of fulfillment. There’s certainly no doubt of the fact that ninety percent of the challenges currently being witnessed in the body of Christ are associated with the issue of revelation. Think of how many times we hide behind the word revelation or ‘God showed or told me’ just to get even with those who hurt us and release a relationship we encounter no longer befits us.

USING REVELATION FOR PERSONAL AGENDA

Since there’s no monopoly to revelation, and there are very few biblical values being taught to help us accurately judge what brethren term as revelation, we have continued to witness confusion and chaos, so much that the sacred ministry of truth and revelation has become one of our best vendetta machinery to settle lots of unresolved issues among ourselves, and this has continued to hinder and weakened the maturing and manifestation of the fullness of Christ life within the body.

In my strongest view, that which we are seeing today in the name of revelation amongst the saints is not a true reflection of the kind of fruit that matches the divine, biblical measurement of the ministry of revelation.  There’s so much noise of what is expected, but less fruit. Many have perfected the act of identifying what the kingdom looks like or should reflect. But very few have (entered) accessed the realm of the kingdom life to accurately model and display what the kingdom truly is. We are still stock in the realm of our first day knowledge of the matters of the kingdom. Yes, we’ve been born again filled with the Spirit, but our conducts and level of understanding still proves that we are among the first and second day of the outer court activity of the kingdom life.

To be continued.
