THE ART OF KINGDOM LIFESTYLE.
MASTERING YOUR THOUGHT PROCESS.
Philippians 2:5
Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus:
To create a reality that reflects a progressive and productive thought’s lifestyle, we need to learn how to guide and shape our thoughts and imagination in a positive, informative, and conforming way that leads to a fulfilling and enriching life in Christ.
The depth of our spiritual knowledge and experience is determined by the degree to which we’ve surrendered our minds to think and act like Christ, regardless of the event or circumstances at hand.
If it is true that your beliefs and values have a great impact on the person you become. One would have assumed this subject would have taken a more prominent position in our biblical emphasis. Yet, very few pay attention to both the internal and external factors that shape how they think. Your reality is forged in the furnace of your default thought environment.
As a Bible student, one of the first things that stood out for me was that our Lord Jesus Christ exhibited a certain quality of thought regarding himself, where he came from, and the world he was sent to transform and restore.
In fact, Jesus thought life was designed as the benchmark for all his followers’ thinking patterns. You cannot become more of Christ than your thought pattern aligning to his mold of thinking. What is defined as spirituality is expressed to the thought process of a person submitting the will and counsel of God.
There’s been so much said regarding what is expected as a spiritual person, particularly from a kingdom lifestyle perspective. Yet, very few have actually acknowledged the position and influence of their thought life as a direct impact of the working out of their kingdom values and practices.
We have to dramatically shift from what Paul referred to when he said, the kingdom of God is not in words, but in the demonstration of power. Power is the art of living beyond the elements and forces of earthly limitations.
When you have power, you live from the position of the nature of the second man, the last Adam. This lifestyle has nothing to do with your religious background or spiritual affiliations. This is a position rooted in Christ and his kingdom philosophy.
The nature of the man in Christ is the position of power, not just being able to articulate biblical language. Power is the demonstration of the ascended life in Christ, directly linked to the ascended thought life in Christ. Let this mind be in you that was also found in Christ.
All that Christ did while on earth was from a position of a thought life in sync with his Heavenly Father. The thought and action of a true follower of Christ ought only to flow from a life linked to what has been gleaned from the conversation and devotion with the Spirit of Christ.
When you, however, don’t have this understanding of kingdom power to execute what you claim to know, you become subjective and a victim of another influence, which ultimately determines your actions and outcomes.
Power resides within our spiritual knowledge and mindset. This power or authority must take charge of the way we think and practice what we believe, and what we believe must define the values and principles of our actions.
Actions are not spontaneous, as we often presume. They come from a realm of thought that is either subjective to the values and principles of life or death.
Death here means that which is not sourced from the mind of Christ. Allowing our mindset to flow from the realm of biblical spiritual consciousness allows us to recognize false thought and their mission to steal, kill, and destroy.
Giving heed to the way we think regarding issues of life is a profound way to think about matters of kingdom advancement, particularly within the false, end time, New Age Church culture.
As I usually say, very few in the Body of Christ truly comprehend the deceptive nature of the fallen man. Many respond to biblical spirituality from a shallow viewpoint. The art of kingdom living starts from the in-depth knowledge of the ascended life we have in Christ, and the depths of the operation of the fallen Adamic kingdom.
The kingdom of the fallen man is understood from the reality of the soul-life. The complexity of the man is captured in the complexity of his religious thought process. Man can display high intelligence and competence in one area, and still be a complete stranger and failure when it comes to handing his thoughts in relating to living out the truth.
The way we think shapes our reality and influences our choices and actions. Our thoughts can be powerful, but they need to be controlled, otherwise they will control us. Our actions reflect our thoughts, and our thoughts reveal who we are as people. We cannot live apart from our thoughts. Some studies suggest that we have between 12,000 and 60,000 thoughts every day.
Of these kinds of capacity of thought process, how many of them are positively utilized in driving us towards the next point of fulfilling the intended plan and purpose of the Father for our life? God gave us the mind, which houses various faculties, including the ability to think for the sole purpose of the advancement of his divine intention.
This is to emphasize the point that the thoughts are not evil. In fact, they are the womb that births the ideas that allow us to be creative and productive in our called assigned purpose. However, the enemy, through the fallen adamic nature still interfacing with our we think, has mastered the art of using the realm of thoughts and imagination to cripple and defeat most humans, including Christians alike.
To break the mold of false thought belief and the victim mentality plaguing most people, including many followers of Christ, we need to be keenly aware of the kinds of thoughts we allow to define our daily choices.
As I was thinking about a challenging project ahead of me, I heard a still, small voice inside me, which I know is the Holy Spirit. He said, “change your thought process about the project, and you will have a completely new perspective and understanding in handling the problem”. It’s amazing to note that how we look at things affects how we respond. Responding to life and its challenges is a direct influence of our thought nature.
Many people who we might think of as spiritually mature have not yet mastered the art of engaging with life’s challenges in a way that is led by the correct thought process, even when they say they are basing their decisions and actions on biblical principles, unfortunately.
If we approach the word of God or the things of the Spirit with a negative or limited mindset, we will not receive the desired results from the Lord. Whatever we do or seek to achieve in life with a false, limiting thought mindset will only produce a false and limiting result. The thought, as other parts of our mental faculties, is designed to work in harmony with the word of God.
The ground of minds is the place where the seeds of positive or limiting thoughts are sown. Cultivating a fruitful, Christ [kingdom] mindset lifestyle is the result of uprooting the wrong, negative thoughts we have imbibed or inherited from our environment of birth, either natural or spiritual rebirth.
Training your thought and emotion to focus on godly positive result actions is a learned art that takes seasons of biblical spiritual educational transforming practices. Meaning that allowing what is known as the mind of Christ to replace the default, fallen Adamic nature of thinking is the foundation of a sound biblical spirituality.
Forming a Christ mindset habit that allows you to think and see things (both visible and invisible) through the eyes of God’s word, and is, of course, the outcome of enrolling yourself in the (discipleship) discipline school of thought reform and transformation. It is said that you may not prevent the circumstances that impact your life, but you are responsible for the way you respond.
Responding to life challenges and human emotions, regardless of how negative, is your sole responsibility. This means you need to have or develop the skill of not allowing your (feeling) emotion to react in a manner that makes you a victim. When we enter the realm of the ART OF LIVING POSITIVELY, our mindset shifts dramatically towards a heavenly man captured by earthly forces, particularly in the way he or she thinks.
Guarding your thought is a chief responsibility of all kingdom regents in this hour, and it will require you to know what the word of God says about it.
The battle of the end of days is not what many presumed or predicted. This battle is fought and won within the minefield of the human mind. The state and condition of your thought will impact your emotion, which obviously determines your experience, whether you know it or not.
Your life’s experience is a direct reflection of how you allow your thoughts to be invaded by the false narrative. What you believe and accept will determine the way you think and see yourself, others, and the world around you.
You can begin to change yourself by taking action over what comes into your mind space. You can start changing by being conscious of how you perceive yourself, by using the word of God to regulate your thought pattern. Indeed, as a man thinks, so he is. Your thought shapes and determines your life and future outcomes.
To have a peaceful, fulfilling life and relationship is the direct result of your responsibility for how you control what you thought. Positive thought comes from a corrective, positive perspective of yourself and life. Hence, imbibing a daily sanctified and transformed thought lifestyle through biblical meditation allows you to be above the current of life’s problems.
