Heaven will employ the instrument of affliction to purify the soul until the divine intention of the Father finds full expression within and through such an individual or community. Heaven will seldom use or employ any instrument, regardless of how highly skilled they seem, without them being PURIFIED.

Let not this generation be disillusioned that they will be used to carry the glory and ministry of Christ and his kingdom without being stripped and purified by affliction.

Persecution is the Father’s powerful tool to prepare his priesthood for divine representation. And this process will continue until all that is made of self is removed.

We often don’t hear about the sins and afflictions of others or nations. Yet, this is part of how he set apart those apprehended for his service. Bearing the burden of another or a nation through suffering you’re going through is a ministry of intercession that requires a matured understanding and revelation of the Spirit.

There are several conditions or situations that have taken place on various occasions in our lives, family, community, or nation, and we didn’t fully grasp what actually happened until an understanding was given of why God allowed the seeming negatives that took place.

Often, the things that cost pain and sorrow the most, especially amongst God’s people, are instruments heaven uses to pave the way for something grand that needs to manifest in the near future.

When we are truly awoken towards this insight of understanding, it becomes a joyous thing to be counted to suffer for the sake of a divine prophetic course and agenda that needs to be expressed through our lives. This is the parable of apprehended ones who rejoice in tribulation in order for the triumph of the kingdom agenda to take place on earth.

There’s now a company that is emerging as God’s men and women for this hour. These are they who have been brought forth through the fire of affliction but are now commanders and captains of kingdom initiatives across the earth. They have no limit or hindrance of the circumstances or their flesh because they’ve been PURIFIED THROUGH THE FIRE OF AFFLICTION.

As I ponder upon my own life and the kinds of affliction heaven has brought across my life, I still don’t have a full understanding of why until they opened my eyes of understanding to the kind of prophetic office committed into my hands and the required wisdom needed to function within the priestly order of such a ministry. Then, I appreciated why things had to happen the way they were unfolding at every angle.

Secondly, recently, the Lord began to draw my attention to a group of young, dynamic voices now emerging as captain’s within the circle of ministries in my country, Nigeria. They asked me if I noticed where these voices were emerging from. I said Northern Nigeria.

And immediately, it all began to make sense. Northern Nigeria has been one of the most persecuted places in the world when you consider the index of nations being persecuted for one’s faith as a follower of Christ.

Hundreds of Christians have been killed, some burnt alive and taken into captivity by Boko Haram. Till today, there are still people in captivity. Some of the ladies have been forced to marry Muslim clerics.

In Northern Nigeria, if you claim to be a follower of Christ, you are indirectly seeing you are ready to die for your faith because you will be persecuted at all fronts; why? Northern Nigeria is the stronghold of the Muslim religion and practices hardcore Islamic theology.

Many lives have perished due to their faith and stand for righteousness. Yet, the Father has been using those seasons of hate and persecution to purify and equip his own vessels for the redemption of a nation.

While nobody goes out to sign up for such an experience. But if you’ve been apprehended for the Lord, and you are counted to be used for kingdom agenda, you will rejoice in tribulations.

Nobody truly understands why the Father uses this method, but it has proven to work all the time. While I will not underplay the deals of God in the lives of other Christians from other parts of Nigeria, there is something different: a special kind of seriousness, authenticity, and purity that glows and flows from the streams of the other Nigerian brethren.

I myself grew up in the Northern part of Nigeria. Hence, I have a bit of that sense of seriousness even though I left when I was still a teenager. What I am saying is that, often, the region you grew up in and the circumstances that surround the place of your spiritual birth play a critical role in the shaping of your spiritual philosophy and outlook on life.

If you grow up in an environment where you are not exposed to some level of pain and persecution for the sake of your faith, you may not fully understand or appreciate specific dimensions of kingdom truth and experience that make you more effective and efficient in matters of kingdom lifestyle.

Job is still a model for us regarding how the Father uses us to boast in righteousness. Indeed, the Father proved the enemy wrong for thinking that we only follow the Lord because of what we desire from him. Learning obedience through suffering is a pattern the Lord laid down for us as a testimony of overcoming and pleasing the Father in the ministry assigned to us.

Therefore, if you are going through certain things, you seem not to understand why things are the way they are; it might just be God wants to purify your soul for the advancement of kingdom initiative. Hence, rejoice in the Lord, and again, I say to you to rejoice in the Lord.
