PRAYING FROM A KINGDOM ORIENTED PERSPECTIVE.
THE SCOPE OF PRAYING IN 2025 AND BEYOND.
BY ISAIAH-PHILLIPS AKINTOLA
As we navigate the rapidly shifting spiritual terrain of the 21st century, our approach to prayer and spiritual warfare must undergo a significant paradigm shift. Within the context of kingdom advancement, we must transition from rudimentary practices to a more sophisticated and refined instrument of divine engagement and governance.
In this new era, particularly as we move forward in 2025 and beyond, our understanding and application of prayer must transcend conventional limitations. We must recognize and harness the full potential of prayer as a transformative, governmental force that advances God’s kingdom on earth, impacting nations, marketplaces, and every sphere of life.
Understanding Prayer’s Dual Nature
Prayer, in its highest expression, operates simultaneously as a relational communion and a governmental authority. This duality isn’t merely theoretical but represents a functional system that Jesus himself referenced when He declared, “And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven” (Matthew 16:19). This scripture illuminates the governmental aspect of prayer, highlighting its role in administering heaven’s authority on earth.
The relationship between prayer and divine governance becomes particularly crucial in our current era. While maintaining an intimate connection with the Father remains fundamental, we must elevate our understanding of prayer beyond ritual and routine. Prayer, in its truest essence, serves as our access point to God’s current prophetic emphasis and the specific demands He places on His kingdom’s advancement within human affairs.
The Transformative Nature of Prayer
True prayer operates as a dynamic, two-way stream—a sacred dialogue that transforms the one praying into the heavenly representation they were designed to be. This transformative aspect stands as the foundational building block upon which all other prayer dimensions become effective. If our prayer life fails to conform us more closely to Christ’s image, we must reassess our understanding of this profound spiritual ministry.
The transformative power of prayer was powerfully demonstrated when Jesus took Peter, James, and John to the Mount of Transfiguration. During this pivotal moment, the act of prayer led to Jesus’s visible transformation into His heavenly nature. This event wasn’t merely spectacular; it served as a practical demonstration of prayer’s transformative power, showing the disciples what would be available to them after His departure.
Prayer in the Post-Truth Era.
As saints living within the context of the 21st century’s post-truth culture, our approach to prayer must evolve beyond the limitations of ritual and tradition. We are called to enter a higher, ascended dimension where prayer not only transforms our image and likeness but also endows us with the skill, competence, and executive authority necessary for effective kingdom representation.
This elevated understanding requires a fundamental alignment of our hearts and minds with God’s will, as emphasized in Romans 12:1-3. Here, we’re called to present ourselves as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, as our spiritual act of worship. This alignment becomes crucial in discerning the Father’s heart and His divine will concerning the systems and conditions shaping our world.
Prayer as a Governmental Force
The concept of prayer as a governmental function finds its roots in biblical history, from the Old Testament through to its full manifestation in the Acts of the Apostles and throughout the Epistles. This governmental aspect of prayer isn’t merely about personal petition but about executing divine will on earth as it is in heaven. It represents a legitimate mechanism for birthing divine intentions within human affairs.
In this context, prayer becomes:
A tool for kingdom advancement
A means of executing divine will
A channel for prophetic declaration
A system for governmental authority
As Saint living within the context of the 21st century Post-truth culture, our understanding and practice of prayer must transcend the limitations of ritual and traditions that has shrouded prayer and intercession, we must now enter a higher, ascended dimension where the practice of praying the will of the Father not only change our images and likeness but also endowed us with the skill, competence, and executive authority of heavenly authority and we seek to represent God’s kingdom.
This shift requires us to align our hearts and minds with the will of God, as emphasized in Romans 12:1-3, where we are called to present ourselves as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, as an act of spiritual worship. Only through this alignment can we discern the Father’s heart and His divine will concerning the conditions and systems that shape our world.
Prayer, as ordained by God, serves as a potent instrument for subjugating the flesh to the authority of the spiritual man. It also functions as a vital means for the Father to train and develop His children, equipping them to accomplish the works of the Kingdom.
As believers, we are exhorted to “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Through the discipline of fasting and prayer, we learn to trust in the Father’s sovereignty, cultivating an unwavering reliance on His goodness and provision.
Heaven emphasizes the importance of maintaining a vibrant prayer life, as it reflects our commitment to advancing the Kingdom.
While our physical bodies may weaken, our inner man is strengthened daily through prayer, enabling us to overcome the challenges of life and fulfill our divine prophetic purpose. By prioritizing prayer, we demonstrate our dedication to the Kingdom’s advancement and our willingness to surrender to the Father’s will. As we pray without ceasing, we position ourselves for spiritual growth, empowerment, and transformation, becoming effective instruments for the Kingdom’s purposes.
Prayer as a force to establishing the will of the Father.
Once the will of God is revealed, prayer becomes more than a petition; it transforms into a divine mandate to execute His will on earth as it is in heaven. This execution is not a passive act but an active, intercessory function that carries the weight of kingdom authority.
It demands a deep understanding of spiritual protocols and a commitment to nurturing the counsel of God through obedience. Prayer, therefore, is not merely about asking but about birthing and stewarding the purposes of God in the earth. It is a governmental act, a sacred responsibility entrusted to the ecclesia, the body of Christ to enforce the decrees of heaven upon earth realm.
The concept of prayer as a governmental function is deeply rooted in biblical history right from the Old Testament into its full manifestation in framework of the Acts of the Apostle in the New Testament and throughout the layout of the Epistles.
The Bible emphasizes the importance of prayer in advancing God’s kingdom and executing His will (Matthew 6:10, Luke 11:2-4) as the key legitimate way in birthing the divine intentions of the Father within human affairs. The ministry of prayer is closely tied to the prophetic office, which is responsible for declaring God’s visionary intentions and purposes (Isaiah 55:11, Jeremiah 1:12).
The prayer of divine execution is emerging as a mature expression of intercessory authority within the priesthood of believers. As the kingdom lifestyle is restored to its rightful place in the ecclesia, the prophetic spirit and office are being reestablished to their intended glory.
This restoration is not merely for the sake of revival but for the reclamation of the altar—the place where heaven and earth converge. It is here, at the altar, that the illegitimate spirit of Jezebel, which has usurped leadership and influence in the spiritual realm, is confronted and dismantled.
The false voices that have risen from corrupted ministry gifts and offices must be silenced, and the true prophetic authority must be reinstated to liberate God’s people from oppression.
Breaking the old paradigm of praying.
The old paradigms of prayer, influenced by spiritism, religious ritualism, divination, and utilitarian systems, have become obsolete. In this new season, prayer has entered a more advanced and mature dimension—a lifestyle of kingdom-oriented seekers whose ultimate desire is to know, experience, and express the fullness of Christ’s authority, wisdom, knowledge, and competence.
Our understanding of prayer must evolve into an apostolic tool, one that reforms, transforms, and restores the dominion given to the ecclesia. Through prayer, we carry out the prophetic demands of God within the nations by bringing forth His redemptive agendas [purposes] and establishing His kingdom on earth.
At PortalsGate, we are committed to advancing and restoring the ministry of prayer in alignment with God’s prophetic counsel for humanity. As Acts 3:19-20 declares, the restoration of all things is tied to the return of Christ, who is currently withheld in heaven until this divine mandate is fulfilled.
This scripture compels us to exercise the authority of Christ’s dominion in the human space, for it is through this authority that creation eagerly awaits the manifestation of the sons of God (Romans 8:19). Our mission is to see the emergence of a people whose lives are wholly synchronized with the authority of God’s prophetic intentions, establishing a company of governmental priestly saints who will enforce heaven’s decrees on earth.
The scope of praying in 2025 and beyond.
As we move toward the year 2025, our express desire is to enter a new realm of prayer—one that shifts and realigns earthly systems, including the hearts of men, back to heaven’s desired objectives. The redemptive counsel of God for humanity must ascend to a dimension where His power and wisdom become invisible to the powers of darkness, yet unmistakably evident in the lives of His people.
Just as God engaged the minds of kings with dreams they could not interpret, He is raising up a company of prophetic voices, like Joseph and Daniel, who are positioned and aligned through divine skill and grace to bring clarity and interpretation. These voices will humble kings and nations, bringing them to their knees in submission to the higher wisdom and authority of Christ.
In this season, prayer has entered a more advanced and mature dimension, characterized by a kingdom-oriented lifestyle. Our understanding of prayer must become an apostolic tool, enabling us to reform, transform, and restore the dominion given to the ecclesia.
As we seek to advance and restore God’s prophetic council for humanity (Acts 3:19-20), we must exercise our authority to bring forth the reality of Christ’s dominion into the human space. This will facilitate the restoration of all things, as creation eagerly awaits the manifestation of the sons of God.
The ministry of prayer is being upgraded to incorporate the two systems of Moses and Elijah, which represent powerful apostolic and prophetic dimensions. Elijah embodies a powerful apostolic governmental ministry, while Moses represents a powerful apostolic authority that delivers people from bondage and brings them into the divine councils of heaven.
As these two spirits mature within the hearts and lives of believers, we will witness deliverance, the manifestation of God’s glory, and the lifting of nations in honor to the name of Jesus Christ. Our prayer life must shift to become a governmental arrowhead in the fulfillment and advancement of heaven’s apostolic, governmental expression on earth.
In this context, the ministry of prayer is not just about personal petitions or emotional expressions but about executing God’s will, restoring the prophetic authority, and advancing the kingdom of God. As we engage the two systems of Moses and Elijah, we will witness a profound impact on the human space, as the kingdom of God is manifested in all its glory.
The emergence of the two witnesses.
The crises of these end times are not merely challenges but strategic opportunities for God to reveal His wisdom through the church. As Habakkuk 2:14 proclaims, the knowledge of the glory of the Lord will cover the earth as the waters cover the sea. This global transformation will occur as we exercise the experiential knowledge and wisdom of God within the human space, manifesting His glory in every sphere of influence.
The unveiling of the spirits of Moses and Elijah—the two witnesses assigned to reveal God’s glory in these last days—will play a pivotal role in this restoration. These apostolic and prophetic authorities will deliver God’s people from bondage, confront the illegitimate influence of Jezebel, and restore the altar of God, ensuring that the prophetic ministry is no longer enslaved but empowered to fulfill its divine mandate.
The two systems of Moses and Elijah represent powerful apostolic and prophetic dimensions that are essential for advancing the kingdom of God. These systems are rooted in biblical theology and are critical for understanding the ministry of prayer in its governmental context.
Elijah represents the apostolic governmental ministry, a spirit of fire and reform that confronts idolatry and restores the fear of the Lord. Moses embodies the apostolic authority that delivers God’s people from bondage and leads them into the divine councils of heaven. As these two spirits mature within the hearts and lives of believers, we will witness unprecedented deliverance, the manifestation of God’s glory, and the nations lifting their hands in honor to the name above every name—Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
Practical Impact and Applications:
- Shift in Prayer Perspective: Our understanding of prayer must shift from a personal or emotional exercise to a governmental function that executes God’s will.
- Restoration of Prophetic Authority: The prophetic authority must be restored to its rightful place within the ecclesia to address the illegitimate spirit of Jezebel.
- Engaging the Two Systems: The two systems of Moses and Elijah must be engaged to advance the kingdom of God and execute His will.
- Apostolic Ministry: The ministry of prayer must become an apostolic tool that reforms, transforms, and restores the dominion given to the ecclesia.
- Manifestation of God’s Glory: As we engage the two systems of Moses and Elijah, we will witness the manifestation of God’s glory and the lifting of nations in honor to the name of Jesus Christ.
This is the hour for our prayers to shift and become a governmental arrowhead, advancing heaven’s apostolic and prophetic expression in the earth. Prayer is no longer confined to the closet; it is a weapon of warfare, a tool of dominion, and a catalyst for the restoration of all things. Let us rise as a company of governmental priests, aligned with the heart of God and empowered by His Spirit, to enforce the decrees of heaven and usher in the fullness of His kingdom.
The time is now. The mandate is clear. The earth is waiting. Let us pray with authority, execute with precision, and restore with passion, for the glory of God and the establishment of His eternal kingdom.
